DC metro gas prices up 6 cents from last week

WASHINGTON - Gas prices in the D.C. metro area are up 6 cents from a week ago.


In its weekly report released Sunday, AAA says the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $3.54, up from $3.48 a week ago. The price is 20 cents lower than a year ago, when the price was $3.74.

The price of gas in the region is a penny above the national average. The national average for a gallon of unleaded was $3.53, up a penny from a week ago.


The average price in the District of Columbia alone is $3.66, up 6 cents from a week ago.
