Indian Wells, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Second-seeded Pole Agnieszka Radwanska and rising Romanian Simona Halep were both quarterfinal winners Wednesday at the $5.9 million BNP Paribas Open tennis event.

Radwanska had a tough time with seventh-seeded Jelena Jankovic, but she nonetheless pulled out a 7-5, 2-6, 6-4 victory in a two-hour, 33-minute battle.

Jankovic, who titled here in 2010, has lost her last five meetings against Radwanska.

The sixth-seeded Halep, meanwhile, humbled Aussie qualifier Casey Dellacqua 6-2, 6-2 on the hardcourts at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

Halep, a winner in nine of her last 10 matches, recently titled in Doha, this after piling up the first six WTA titles of her career last year.

The 22-year-old has won the last two meetings against Radwanska, including a straight-set victory in the semis in Doha last month.

Thursday's quarterfinal matches will pit top-seeded Li Na against 12th-seeded Dominika Cibulkova and 17th-seeded Sloane Stephens opposite 20th-seeded Flavia Pennetta.
