Emma Watson has a career in Hollywood that has spanned nearly 15-years, thanks in large part to the 'Harry Potter' film franchise, but the British beauty has only recently been able to find her own identity.

'There are all these actresses who have emerged in the last year or two, and they get to emerge as this complete human being,' Watson, 23, says in a new interview with Elle magazine.

'And I'm so jealous!'

The 'Noah' star, whose latest film hits theaters on March 28, explained that an anecdote from Hollywood royal Elizabeth Taylor helped her get some perspective about how to separate her life from her work.

'She had her first kiss in character,' Watson told the magazine, out on newsstands March 25.

'On a movie set. It really struck me. I don't know how or why, but I had this sense that if I wasn't really careful, that could be me... that my first kiss could be in somebody else's clothes. And my experiences could all belong to someone else.'

Watson opted to take some time away from acting to attend college - at Brown and Oxford - but has since returned to her first love in versatile roles. She starred in 'The Perks of Being A Wallflower' and Sofia Coppola's 'The Bling Ring' on the heels of her 'Harry Potter' success.
