Google Chat, Drive down; other services look unaffected

If you're experiencing trouble with accessing Google Drive or Chat this morning, you're not alone.
Service has been spotty for some Google account users, both for general/personal accounts as well as paid Google Apps for business customers.
I can vouch for Google Chat trouble first hand as I have not been able to access the cloud-based communication service starting just before 9AM PDT on Monday.
However, I was able to access Google Drive as normal.
Yet, the Google Apps Status dashboard still reads business as usual as of the time this post was first published.
ZDNet has reached out to Google for comment, and we will update this post once we hear back.
