The three shows join 'Voice,' 'Blacklist,' 'Parks' and others with early pickups.

NBC's Windy City experiment is paying off. The one in Portland is not doing bad, either.

The network Wednesday renewed Chicago Fire (Tuesday, 10 p.m. ET/PT) and Chicago P.D. (Wednesday, 10 p.m. ET/PT) for the 2014-15 season. It also picked up the fourth year of Grimm, a Friday drama set in Portland and inspired by the Grimm Brothers' fairy tales.

The three shows join The Blacklist, Parks and Recreation, The Voice, and Celebrity Apprentice on NBC's renewal list. NBC ranks first in young adults for the current TV season.

P.D. and Fire were renewed for their second and third seasons, respectively. Dick Wolf, known for NBC's Law & Order franchise, is an executive producer. The worlds of the police and fire department dramas will connect when a bomb explodes on the April 29 episode of Fire and the police deal with the fallout of the tragedy the next night on P.D.
