Jarome Iginla scored twice as Boston Bruins stretched their winning streak to eight with a 5-1 victory over Carolina Hurricanes.


Milan Lucic, Torey Krug and Chris Kelly also scored and David Krejci provided three assists, while Chad Johnson made 29 saves on Tuukka Rask's day off.


Alexander Semin scored for the Hurricanes.


Matt Read scored twice and Steve Mason claimed a shut-out on 25 saves as Philadelphia Flyers beat Pittsburgh Penguins 4-0.


Scott Hartnell and Vincent Lecavalier got the Flyers' other two goals.


Ben Bishop got his 31st win of the season and a 23-save shut-out as Tampa Bay Lightning beat New Jersey Devils 3-0.


New record

Goals from Michael Kostka, BJ Crombeen and Nate Thompson helped Bishop set a new Lightning record for wins in a season.


Two goals from Patrik Berglund saw the in-form St Louis Blues claimed their seventh win in eight, overcoming Nashville Predators 4-1.


Vladimir Tarasenko and Alexander Steen also tallied for the Blues.


Francis Bouillon scored an overtime winner as the Montreal Canadiens edged out the Ottawa Senators 5-4.


New York Islanders beat Buffalo Sabres 4-1 and Phoenix Coyotes overcame Calgary Flames 3-2, while there were also wins for Columbus Blue Jackets and Anaheim Ducks.
