Oscars Stars Chill Out At VIP

After a hard night's work at the Oscars, stars relaxed, chatted and mingled at VIP-only parties that followed the ceremony.

At the Governor's Ball, the Academy official dinner party, winners dropped by the engraving station to have their names on the statuette.

Matthew McConaughey commemorated the moment with pictures of himself and his wife, Camila Alves.

Ellen DeGeneres, looking as relaxed as she did hosting, chatted intently with Sacha Baron Cohen.

Her wife, Portia De Rossi, was by her side, talking to Ryan Seacrest.

The Governorn's Ball is held escalator ride up from the Dolby Theatre, while the Vanity Fair party is traditionally the evening's most sought-after ticket.

The star invited people to appreciate his trophy, passing it around and celebrating with his brother.

Many actresses changed into a new frock for the occasion.

'It was an intense, unbearable pressure which I'm so glad is over,' Cate Blanchett said after her win as best actress for Blue Jasmine.
