Paula Patton stuns on first red carpet since Robin Thicke split

Paula Patton glowed like sunshine on the red carpet at the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday.


It's the first time the 38-year-old actress has walked the carpet at an event since last attending the Grammys in January with estranged husband Robin Thicke.

Patton looked stunning in a canary yellow Lorena Sarbu lace dress and nude Christian Louboutin heels, reports Us Weekly.


While she was a showstopper at the awards ceremony in Santa Monica, Calif., Thicke continued on his tour after canceling three shows reportedly due to their marital woes.

'For y'all that don't know me and my wife separated, but I'm trying to get my girl back,' he told fans at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., on Thursday, reports TMZ. 'She's a good woman.'


The couple announced their split on Feb. 24 after eight years of marriage, a 3-year-old son, Julian, and 20 years together.

'We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time,' they said in a joint statement to People on Monday.


But their 'mutually' agreed upon separation may not be exactly what Thicke signed up for. Like his confession to the Fairfax crowd, Thicke also confessed to TMZ earlier that same day that he's just 'trying to get her back.'

Patton reportedly had enough after the 'Blurred Lines' singer's raunchy MTV Video Music Awards performance with Miley Cyrus and multiple reports of his infidelity.


After supposedly pleading with her, the '2 Guns' actress stood by her husband's side during the awards season, which concluded with the Grammys.


Shortly after, Patton pulled the plug on their longtime relationship, which began when Thicke was just 14.


'It has been a long time coming,' a source close to Thicke told Us. 'It is not a shock to Robin or Paula, and it is something they have discussed for a long time.'


The actress stepped out without her wedding ring while Thicke continues wearing his. The R&B crooner dedicated his hit ballad 'Lost Without U' to Patton, which he told fans was written for her.
