HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) - Despite a slow first quarter start, the Houston Rockets had seven players reach double-figures in a runaway 129-106 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves Thursday night at Toyota Center.

The victory was the second straight for the Rockets, who were playing without Dwight Howard. Howard missed his second straight game Thursday after having a cyst removed from his left ankle earlier in the day.

The Rockets trailed after the first quarter 33-27, and fell behind by as many as 10 points prompting a timeout by Rockets head coach Kevin McHale. The Rockets gained the lead by scoring 17 straight points after the timeout and never relinquished. Houston led by as many as 29 during the game.

Donatas Motiejunas was potent in the post game for Houston in Howard's absence scoring a career high 20 points on 9-11 shooting.

James Harden led the Rockets with 28 points. Jeremy Lin added 11 points and a game high 10 assists. Omer Asik, starting for the injured Howard, scored 12 points and blocked four shots.

The Rockets will hit the road for a pair of games starting on Saturday when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
