'Some Things Are Out Of The Question': Shakira Talks 'Territorial' Boyfriend ...

The 37-year-old star has been in a relationship with the FC Barcelona football player since 2011 and they share 13-month-old son Milan together.

And Shakira is more than happy to set boundaries in her career as a result of her relationship with Gerard, 27.

'He's very territorial,' she told Billboard magazine.

'Since he no longer lets me do videos with men... I have to do them with women.'

She recently released a scintillating music video with Rihanna for their duet Can't Remember To Forget You.

And there is no way she would even consider dancing with a man like she did with the Barbadian beauty on-screen ever again.

'It's more than implied in our relationship that I can't do videos like I used to,' Shakira explained, noting she feels empowered by the professional structures put in place through Gerard's expectations of her.

'It's out of the question - which I like, by the way. I like that he protects his turf and he values me, in a way that the only person that he would ever let graze my thigh would be Rihanna.'

Colombian councilman Marco Fidel Ramirez recently criticised Shakira for promoting 'lesbianism' with her and Rihanna's racy music promo.

And during a February press conference in her native land, Shakira gave a cutting response to the politician, stating:

'In a country like ours where there are so many needs: a health system that needs to be improved, an education system that needs to be expanded, employment that needs to be generated - for a councilman to use his voice and his time to talk about a video by an artist like me means we're not doing too well councilman-wise, right?'

During his tirade Ramirez was quoted by CNN Espanol as saying:

'I found a video that evidently contains images that in my opinion are not useful for the emotional growth and development of youths. I feel it promotes immorality.'
