Trout and Angels agree on 6


Superstar Mike Trout is in agreement on a six-year, $144.5-million Angels contract, according to people familiar with the talks.


Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com, who first reported the sides were finalizing a deal.


The deal wil cover three arbitration years and three free-agent years.


Trout's agreement coincidentally comes on the same day the Tigers announced Miguel Cabrera's $248-million extension.
