The Utah Jazz were hot early and endured a low-scoring second quarter to take a 41-39 lead into the half against the Cavaliers Friday night in Cleveland.

Gordon Hayward's two free throws with 23.7 seconds left in the first half put the Jazz up two heading into the break.

Utah made 6-of-7 3-pointers in the first quarter to build a 27-20 after one period. In the second quarter, though, the Jazz scored just 14 points.

Still, it was enough to outdo the Cavaliers, who have hit just one 3-pointer to eight for Utah.

Hayward leads the Jazz with 11 points, five rebounds and three assists, while Alec Burks has eight points and two rebounds off the bench.

Luol Deng paces Cleveland with 10 points and two rebounds, while Spencer Hawes has added six points and 10 rebounds.
