Z's number raised to the rafters as he thanks Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Zydrunas Ilgauskas thanked the general manager who originally drafted a 'skinny Lithuanian kid,' the owner who believed in him through foot injuries, and the teammates who helped make his career special as the Cavaliers raised his No. 11 to the rafters Saturday night.

And Ilgauskas promised one more things to his beloved Cleveland fans.

'I know in my heart that this team will be back competing for a championship in the future,' Ilgauskas said. 'This city deserves it.'

Everyone from former owner Gordon Gund and general manager who drafted him, Wayne Embry, was in attendance at the ceremony. The most notable onlooker, of course, was former Cavalier LeBron James, who watched the first half from a suite behind the New York Knicks bench before joining his fellow former teammates on the court.
