Thad Lewis to start for injured EJ Manuel vs. Dolphins
By Ryan Wilson | CBSSports.com
Thad Lewis will make his fourth start of the season Sunday. (USATSI) The Bills are out of the playoff conversation but they have an opportunity Sunday to make life difficult for the Dolphins, currently seventh in the AFC and one game behind the Ravens for the final wild-card spot. But to pull off the upset, Buffalo will have to do it without their rookie first-round quarterback EJ Manuel, who will miss the game due to a lingering knee issue. Instead, Thad Lewis will get the start, his fourth of the season.
Lewis, signed off the Bills' practice squad in early October, is 1-2 as a starter this season, completing 62-of-103 passes for 652 yards, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. His lone win? The Dolphins, back in Week 7.
This time, the two teams will meet in Buffalo where three of eight CBSSports.com experts expect the Dolphins will prevail.
