Norman Reedus to Star in Next 'Silent Hill' Video Game
' The Walking Dead's' Norman Reedus will star as a key character in the next installment of Konami's horror video game franchise 'Silent Hill.'
Guillermo del Toro is developing the game with 'Metal Gear Solid' creator Kideo Kojima.
The new installment was announced by Sony on Tuesday at the Gamescom conference in Cologne, Germany.
However, Sony took an unusual approach to reveal the project, making a long teaser available for download on the PlayStation Store under the name 'P.T.' After an hour and 16 minutes, a man is shown walking down a dark street. When he turns, it's Reedus in character, and Kojima and Del Toro's names appear before the 'Silent Hill' logo is revealed.
While few other details of the game have been introduced, Reedus will provide both his voice and likeness to the game.
Reedus is the latest actor to have his likeness reproduced by the high-end graphics of the newest video game consoles from Sony and Microsoft for a game, with Kevin Spacey playing a villain that looks like him in this fall's 'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.'
The game's demo can we viewed below, via Twitch.
