Seahawks, Pete Carroll collectively penalized, fined for CBA violation
The NFL has disciplined the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks for contact that violated the collective bargaining agreement during an offseason workout, a person with knowledge of the decision told USA TODAY Sports on Tuesday.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the discipline hadn't been announced.
ESPN first reported the team and coach Pete Carroll have been collectively fined more than $300,000 and will lose two minicamp practices in 2015 for excessive contact between players during a June 16 practice.
