'Scandal' actor Columbus Short allegedly sent a guy to the hospital after a March 15 bar fight, according to TMZ.

Short, who plays Harrison Wright on the television show, was at Gabe's Bar & Grill in Los Angeles around 10:15 p.m., celebrating a couple's engagement. Law enforcement sources reportedly said another man angered Short by telling him, 'You might be richer than me, but I get my girls to buy me everything I want, including your wife.'

Wow. That's even sillier than a 'yo mama' joke.

A supposed witness told TMZ that Short then came up from behind and punched the quick-witted gentleman which, according to the witness, broke the man's nose and rendered him unconscious for several minutes. Columbus, who is reportedly an adult, quickly took off. An ambulance came and took the 37-year-old victim to a nearby hospital.

Police are investigating the incident, according to TMZ. The website reported that in March 2010, Short got into an altercation with another player during a basketball game at an L.A. Fitness that ended when Short punched the other guy in the face, knocking out several teeth.
