BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Head Coach Ted Nolan has signed a contract extension with the Buffalo Sabres. The Buffalo Sabres released the news Monday morning.
A source confirms to News 4 Sports that the contract is a three-year deal.
Earlier this month, a source told News 4 the contract extension was close to complete. The source explained that Nolan loves the players and is excited for the challenge ahead. The source explained that upon Pat LaFontaine's departure Nolan wanted to acquaint himself with his new coworkers and make sure the Sabres are a good fit for him. Money was not a driving factor in Nolan's decision-making process, per source.
