Indian Wells: Roger Federer and Li Na advance into semi

Last updated at 22:49

Li Na reached the semi-finals of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells for the first time since 2007 with a 6-3 4-6 6-3 victory over Dominika Cibulkova.

Li, who beat Cibulkova in January's Australian Open final, eased through the first set but forehand errors saw her drop 5-1 behind in the second.

The top seed was broken in her opening service game of the decider but won the final three games to emerge victorious.

Li will play either American Sloane Stephens or Flavia Pennetta of Italy.

In the men's quarter-finals, Milos Raonic, who beat Andy Murray in the previous round, lost 6-3 6-4 to Alexandr Dolgopolov.

The Ukrainian, who beat world number one and defending champion Rafael Nadal in the first round, will play either Roger Federer or South Africa's Kevin Anderson, who play at 02:00 GMT on Friday, in the semi-finals.
