Jimmer Fredette: Chicago Bulls New Recruit Says Farewell To Sacramento ...

Jimmer Fredette was a college star in Brigham Young. A known member of the Mormon faith, speculations arose that he would like to play in Utah after his buyout. However, he chose to join a possible playoff team.

The Utah Jazz had 15 players on their roster, and it was already after the deadline. Thus, Jimmer had to look for another team.

SI.com believes it is a good fit: 'As well as they're playing, though, they were still last in the NBA in scoring, 28th in overall shooting and tied for 26th in 3-point percentage.

That's where Fredette, who turned 25 on Tuesday, could help.

Even though he hasn't developed into a consistent contributor, Fredette is shooting 47.5 percent from the floor and 49.3 percent from 3-point range.'

In his post mortem of the Sacramento Kings, he had a lot of respect for the organization-while he is also hopeful for more exposure and better growth as a players in his new team. From True Hoop: 'The one thing about this coach and the organization, is that they've always been upfront with me and told me exactly what they were thinking, which I'm very appreciative of. I knew that going in that they weren't going to extend my contract for the next season and they said it was something they had to do. From that point on, I knew what was going on the whole time. Coach would come up to me and tell me if I was going to play or if I was out of the rotation and kind of what they wanted me to do as a player on the floor. So this group of guys has been vocal with me and communicated well with me and I think they do that with all of the players on the team now. I think the relationship they have with the players is really, really good. Better than what we've had in the past. So I think they're moving forward in the right direction, they're trying to do things the right way, which is a good thing.

That's why I think it's so important for me to find the right fit. A coach that believes in me. A team that believes in me to just go out and do what I do on the basketball floor. Sometimes it's hard to play if you're looking over your shoulder for anybody. But if I can just go out and have a mentality to play my game and be me on the floor, then I think that I'll be very successful in this league. It's all about finding that certain place and that's what I'm going to try and do. Other than that, I'm going to go in and be the same guy. I want to do whatever it takes to win. That's my mentality going into whatever team is next.'

'Jimmermania' in Chicago? At the very least he can be their shooter, and he'll get the outside dishes from D-Rose when he gets back.
