Pittsburgh looks to cool off white hot Tampa Bay at the Consol Energy Center,

The Tampa Bay Lightning go on the road to the Consol Energy Center where the Pittsburgh Penguins await.

The suddenly hot Lightning continued to win when they edged Ottawa 5-4 on the road for victory number five in a row. Defense was optional with both teams combining for four first period goals and never stopping. Robin Lehtner didn't get a whole lot of help from the guys in front of him who turned the puck over constantly and the Senators netminder paid the price with five goals given up on 28 shots. Clark MacArthur, Milan Michalek, Erik Karlsson and Ales Hemsky provided the Senators offense but it wasn't enough with Teddy Pucell scoring twice with single goals from Ryan Callahan, Eric Brewer and Valtteri Filppula while Ben Bishop posted 27 saves for Tampa.

Pittsburgh let one get away in a 5-4 overtime defeat at Detroit on Thursday when they had a five minute power play that went 1:14 in to the extra session to no avail. Adding to the frustration was the Red Wings Daniel Alfredsson slammed home a rebound with .4 seconds remaining in OT to win it. Alfredsson added another goal with Tomas Tater, Gustav Nyquist and Todd Bertuzzi also scored with Jimmy Howard stopping 43 shots to give Detroit their third win in four outings. Evegni Malkin led the Penguins offense with two tallies with Craig Adams and Lee Stempniak also finding the back of the net while Marc-Andre Fleury recorded 25 saves.

Tampa Bay is 0-4 in the last four visits to Pittsburgh and 0-8 in the last eight meetings overall while the over has gone 4-0 in the past four at Pitt. My initial lean was over but let's see who is between the pipes first...
