Recap: LA Clippers vs. Golden State

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - With the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors each riding winning streaks, something had to give when the two Pacific Division rivals met on Wednesday.


Blake Griffin scored 30 points with 15 rebounds to lead the Clippers to their ninth straight win with a 111-98 decision over the Warriors at Staples Center.


Danny Granger scored 18 points off the bench for LA, his highest scoring output since April 19, 2012.


Chris Paul deposited a 16-point, 12-assist double-double, Willie Green scored 13 points, and Darren Collison and Matt Barnes each chipped in with 11 in the victory. DeAndre Jordan recorded 10 points with 11 rebounds.


Klay Thompson paced the Warriors with 26 points, while David Lee notched 20 points with seven rebounds and Stephen Curry dropped in 13 points with 11 assists. Golden State had its five-game winning streak snapped.


Game Notes


Carl Soderberg, Patrice Bergeron and Milan Lucic tallied in the second period, as the Boston Bruins silenced the Montreal Canadiens, 4-1, at Bell Centre. Zdeno Chara added a third-period marker for the Bruins, winners of six in a row and owners of a 13-point lead over idle Toronto in the Atlantic Division. Tuukka Rask augmented his offense with 35 saves. David Desharnais supplied the lone score for the Canadiens, who have dropped three in a row and four of their last five to fall 14 points off the pace of their long-time rivals. Peter Budaj stopped 28 shots in defeat.
