Samsung Galaxy S5 Unveiled – 5.1″ Display, Android 4.4 KitKat

Samsung at MWC 2014 has finally unveiled its latest flagship product - the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone. There is no unique differentiating factor in this phone as far as the design is concerned, but the hardware section boasts some next-generation upgrades. For software, it's loaded with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat and is meshed with the latest TouchWiz UI from Samsung.

The Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch full HD resolution display and derives power off a 2.5GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. It includes a rocking 16 megapixel primary rear camera, and a 2 megapixel secondary front camera for voice calls. The phone equips a 2800 mAh battery under its hood.

For connectivity, the phone supports LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. Additional trivia about the phone - it's water resistant and has a fingerprint scanner that betters its security aspect (it's learnt something from Apple alright!). But Apple being the big daddy of innovation is still a step ahead, according to rumors, which state that with the new iPhone shall be introduced a solar charging device. Release dates and prices of both these phones are unknown as of yet.
