If Russell Westbrook didn't have bad luck, he'd have no luck at all.

Yet again, the Oklahoma City Thunder star was the victim of a freak accident, this time against the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.

Westbrook banged knees with Kyle Lowry after the Raptors guard went to close down on the perimeter. He had to be helped off the floor, per Darnell of The Oklahoman:

Kyle Lowry just inadvertently bumped into Russell Westbrook's right knee. Westbrook is in a ton of discomfort and is helped off the floor.

Raptors sideline reporter Eric Smith reported that the Thunder star was forced back to the locker room:

Lowry, closing out on Westbrook, inadvertently hits Westbrook's knee. It buckles inwards. Westbrook hurt...headed to locker room. Yikes.

Daily Thunder posted video of when Westbrook got hurt:

According to Royce Young of CBS Sports, Westbrook's injury will sideline him for the night:

Russell Westbrook won't return tonight, per the Thunder broadcast. Team is calling it a sprained right knee.

Thunder fans will automatically jump to the worst with this news. The incident that knocked Westbrook out of last year's playoffs was similarly innocuous.

There's no doubting how important he is for Oklahoma City. The Thunder are still a good team without him, but their chances of winning an NBA title go up in smoke the second it's determined that he misses the postseason.

Both the team and fanbase will wait with bated breath to hear for how long Westbrook might be out.
