 Dark chocolate oat cookies are chewy, lightly crisp at the edges, and full of deep chocolate flavor. Oats give the cookies structure without making them dry.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Method

  1. Cream butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  2. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  3. Fold in oats, flour, baking soda, salt, and chocolate.
  4. Scoop onto a lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 350 F until edges are set.
