HTML5 App Prices Apps to Sell at the Same Price as Counterparts

Now developers building HTML5 applications are permitted to price apps to sell just the same as coded counterparts, thanks to Amazon making changes to its App-store. Prior to today, all HTML5 apps were automatically set to 'free' when added to the App-store. Last August, web developers had a way to turn their web applications and mobile sites into Android apps. These apps are able to be downloaded anywhere Amazon App-store can run, including smartphones and tablets. Developers wanted to use this option so they could simply submit their URLs and Amazon would do all the work of packaging the apps in the correct format. For the average consumer, it would be difficult to tell the difference between native and HTML5 format apps. They are not listed separately, so it makes them very hard to spot. Amazon didn't divulge how many HTML5 apps they were making available today. They want to entice you to go to the site yourself.
