Pacers' Roy Hibbert named a reserve on the East All

INDIANAPOLIS - When the reserves for the East All-Star team were announced on Thursday night, Pacers fans may have had a bittersweet feel.

Center Roy Hibbert was named a reserve on the team but guard Lance Stephenson was left off despite having a breakout season at guard.

Joining Hibbert on the East All-Star teams are DeMar DeRozan (Raptors), Paul Millsap (Hawks), John Wall, Joe Johnson (Nets) and Joakim Noah (Bulls). Paul George was voted in as a starter for the All-Star game, which will be played in New Orleans on February 16th.

It's the second time that Hibbert has been named an NBA All-Star, earning the nod in the 2012 All-Star game. This season the center is averaging 11.8 points and 7.8 rebounds a game to go along with his 2.5 blocks a contest.

Stephenson figured to have a major chance to make it to the game as well as he's averaging 14.2 points, 7.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists per contests. He's also recorded three triple-doubles this season and is one of the emerging young players in the NBA.

A few weeks back, Stephenson made a fun video asking for votes for the All-Star team. While creative, it wasn't enough in the end to earn him a spot on the squad.
