Greg Oden dunks to score his first NBA points since 2009

For the first time since December 4, 2009, Greg Oden is playing in an NBA game. He appeared in a preseason game for the Miami Heat in October, but had not yet logged a minute on the court yet this season. That changed on Wednesday night, against the Washington Wizards.

And he had a pretty impressive first play, getting a putback dunk off a missed layup from Dwyane Wade:

In five first-half minutes, Oden scored six points and pulled down two rebounds.

It would be a terrific story if the former No. 1 overall pick, who has battled knee injuries for his entire career, is able to make a real impact for Miami this season. This is a good start.
