Warriors acquire Crawford as part of 3

The Sports Network

(SportsNetwork.com) - The Golden State Warriors have reportedly acquired guards Jordan Crawford and MarShon Brooks from the Boston Celtics Wednesday as part of a three-team trade.

Golden State is sending guard Toney Douglas to the third team in the trade, the Miami Heat, who will ship center Joel Anthony to the Celtics, according to multiple sources.

The Celtics will receive a projected future first-round pick and future second-round pick in the deal. The first-round pick is owned by the Philadelphia 76ers, but that will become two second-round selections if Philly misses the playoffs this season or next, according to Yahoo! Sports.

The Heat will save $11.5 million in salary and luxury tax by unloading Anthony's contract.

The 25-year-old Crawford, who had a career resurgence in Boston this season playing point guard, is averaging 13.7 points and 5.7 assists per game.

Crawford won Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors in early December when he averaged 23.3 points and 6.7 assists, but his field goal percentage has declined and his turnovers have increased since then.

In 10 games played this year, Brooks is averaging 3.1 points per tilt.

Golden State has been looking for depth at guard behind Stephen Curry, while Boston cleared room on the roster for point guard Rajon Rondo, who is expected back Friday.

Douglas is averaging 3.7 points per game, while the defensive-oriented Anthony has seen his minutes dwindle to 3.1 per contest this season with the Heat.

MIAMI HEAT

Yahoo! has reported that the Miami Heat will trade center Joel Anthony to Boston, with veteran point guard Toney Douglas coming to the Heat and Miami relinquishing a lottery-protected first-round pick that it previously acquired from Philadelphia. (That first-rounder becomes two second-rounders if the 76ers miss the playoffs this season and next season.)

MIAMI HEAT

For the second year, the NBA champion Heat is honored by the president at the White House.

The Miami Heat will try to snap a two-game losing streak Wednesday night when their long road trip takes them to the Verizon Center to meet the Washington Wizards.
