Path, the social network for just 150 of your closest friends and family, has finally hit the Windows Phone store, the company announced Friday.
The app gained popularity first on the iPhone in 2010 and later on Android as a dedicated space to share intimate and special moments with close friends and family, instead of publishing them on wider network like Facebook and Twitter. The app lets you share photos, status updates, your location, your mood, and even what songs you're listening to on your Path timeline. You can also record when you fall asleep and wake up, and Path will keep track of how long you sleep.
The Windows Phone 8 app is still in beta, but offers many of the same features that the iOS and Android versions do, such as photo filters and the option to cross post updates to other social networks, including Foursquare and Tumblr. Path says that future updates will add the ability to instant message with your friends and add the Path Shop, where you can purchase digital stickers that you can share in the app. Path also takes advantage of Windows Phone's live tiles by showing real-time updates on your phone's home screen.
Head on over to the Windows Phone app store to download the free Path app, and stay tuned to CNET for future updates.
