Windows update will aim to impress
Computer updates are routine, but the latest workings from Microsoft plan to be a big improvement from their previous Windows 8 release.
Last Saturday, Paul Thurrott reported that an announcement for a new Windows update will come in April 2015. Thurrot notes that the new update should be able to balance the needs of experienced PC users while still trying to get new Windows users.
For the time being, it is code-named 'Threshold' and will possibly be called Windows 9 on its release date, said Thurrott.
There were a number of problems with Windows 8 and many customers shied away from the program. This is evident because the Windows 8.1 update is currently only in unger 25 million PCs, according to Thurrott.
'Threshold' has a lot of ground to cover and high expectations to meet, especially since its predecessor left a dull reminder of what Windows could be.
As of now, there is no confirmed price point, but the upgrade should not be too expensive, reports Tech Radar.
Since the release is not for another year or so, hopefully the next update for Windows will showcase a better program and leave a pleasant impression on customers.
