Recap: San Francisco vs. Milwaukee
Scottsdale, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Mark Minicozzi smacked a solo homer and the San Francisco Giants defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-3, on Friday in spring training action.
Starter Madison Bumgarner struck out two and allowed a hit over two scoreless frames for the Giants. Angel Pagan, Gregor Blanco and Chris Dominguez each drove in a run.
Caleb Grindl cracked a solo shot for Milwaukee, which got a pair of shut out inning from starter Yovani Gallardo, but Tyler Thornburg yielded two runs on three hits over the next two frames.

James Jones hit a three-run homer and added an RBI single, as the Seattle Mariners thumped the San Diego Padres 12-1 in Cactus League action.
Derek Norris belted a two-run homer in the eighth inning to help the Oakland Athletics rally for a 7-6 win over the San Francisco Giants in Cactus League action.
James Paxton retired all six batters, Nick Franklin homered and the Seattle Mariners beat the San Diego Padres 12-1 on Friday.
