Android 4.5 Lollipop to Support 64

We all know of Google's obsession to name its major versions of Android after sweets, and that to alphabetical order. The next version of Android, Android 4.5 - has been named Lollipop.

Every year, Google announces some of its major product and releases in its June Google developers conference, and this year is not likely to be any different either. Google may reveal the Android 4.5 Lollipop at the Google I/O conference on 25 June. The 4.5 Lollipop is touted to be desktop like OS for the smartphone platform which can unify all of Google's varied and numerous services. The Android 4.5 Lollipop will be having a major user interface revamp. Project Hera, Google effort to unify its Search, Gmail and Chrome browser on the Android platform is also expected to debut this June.

The Android 4.5 Lollipop is also expected to have major HTML5 integration that let users experience multi-tasking windows. The design concept has been taken from Ubuntu's Edge platform, and Google intends to make the gap between smartphones and computers less with the Android 4.5 Lollipop. That means it would be possible for users to listen to music and send an email at the same time, without having to ever enter the app itself. The 4.5 Lollipop will also see users starting a task on computer and leaving it to finish on their smartphones. The Android 4.5 Lollipop is also expected to make the OK Google feature as responsive as the Siri on iPhone, and integrating it with the OS very deeply.

Aside from this OS features, the Android 4.5 Lollipop is also expected to add support for 64-bit processors on Android devices and also graphics chipsets. It will also allow higher RAM to be used on these devices.
