Denver police have issued an arrest warrant for Broncos safety T.J. Ward on a misdemeanor simple assault charge.
Sonny Jackson, a Denver Police Department spokesman, told USA TODAY Sports the warrant is related to a May 9 disturbance at an east Denver nightclub.
'We have been aware of this issue, and we will continue to review all of the facts,' a Broncos spokesman said in a statement to USA TODAY Sports.
CBS4 first reported the issuance of the warrant.
Ward, 27, made his first Pro Bowl with the Cleveland Browns last season, then signed a four-year, $22.5 million contract with the Broncos on the first day of free agency in March.
