The news isn't funny for a batch of ABC comedies that won't be returning next season.
The cancellation list includes The Neighbors and Suburgatory, along with first-year comedies Trophy Wife, Mixology and Super Fun Night.
Another freshman sitcom, The Goldbergs, was renewed for another season, as were critically acclaimed veterans Modern Family and The Middle.
ABC Friday announced it will be bringing back a group of veteran reality series: Dancing with the Stars (Season 19), The Bachelor (Season 19), America's Funniest Home Videos (Season 25) and Shark Tank (Season 6).
The network will announce its full program slate next week in New York.
