Former child star Macaulay Culkin's band pelted with beer, gets booed
The former child star Macaulay Culkin's band, The Pizza Underground, was recently pelted with beer and subjected to heavy booing at the Dot to Dot festival in Nottingham, England.
The comedic cover band performed just one song when it was accosted with pints of beer. Shortly after the band began playing 'It's a Pizza Day,' a cover of Lou Reed's classic 'Perfect Day,' The Pizza Underground began getting booed.
Although the former Home Alone star passed out fresh slices of pizza to the crowd, it wasn't enough to keep the crowd from booing him off the stage. After only 15 minutes, Macaulay Culkin angry stormed off.
The performance started off well, with many British fans eagerly looking forward to seeing the former child star perform funny songs. However, after just one song, they began to leave and boo him.
One unnamed fan said 'It just sounds awful. I can't believe he is doing this. Why bother? It must go down well in America or something.'
After only a short while, the booing got more rowdy and pints of beer began getting flung up onto the stage. Security guards started removing the culprits, but not before two bottles hit Macaulay Culkin and a band member. The band understandably called it a night after that, and left the stage.
While The Pizza Underground may not have done too well, England's Dot to Dot festival was a hit overall. This year, the festival had over 1oo acts be performed at 15 locations across the city.
