Parenthood Renewed for a Sixth and Final Season by NBC

It's time for one last family dinner with the Bravermans.
Parenthood has been picked up for a 13-episode sixth and final season by NBC, the network officially announced on Sunday. Parenthood's final season will air Thursdays at 10 p.m. in the fall.
And once again, Parenthood is causing us to cry both happy and sad tears all at once.
Perennially on the bubble, the family drama has fought off cancellation every season, but NBC boss Bob Greenblatt hinted at its renewal back in January at the Television Critics Association press tour.

'It's a show we love, it's doing really well, creatively, and we love Jason Katims,' he said. 'Everything's relative, but it's actually done better on Thursday at 10 than several things we've had there. I'm hopeful that we can get it to another season.'
The season five finale of Parenthood, which aired on April 17, attracted 3.7 million viewers and a 1.3 in the adults 18-49 demo.
The ensemble dram stars Peter Krause, Lauren Graham, Dax Shepard, Monica Potter, Erika Christensen, Sam Jaeger and Mae Whitman, as well as Craig T. Nelson and Bonnie Bedelia.
Katims' other NBC series, the freshman sitcom About a Boy, was also renewed by the network.
Also renewed during the Upfronts madness? Hannibalearned a pick up, while Community, Believe, Crisis, Growing Up Fisher and Revolution were all canceled. Plus, Parks and Recreation was renewed for a seventh and final season.
