Report: Orioles' Matt Wieters to see Dr. Andrews about elbow
By Mike Axisa | Baseball Writer
Sources: Orioles C Matt Wieters to visit Dr. James Andrews on Wednesday for examination on elbow soreness. Worst-case scenario is UCL tear.

Obviously, a UCL tear would likely result in Tommy John surgery, which, in turn, would almost certainly sideline Wieters for the remainder of the season.
Wieters has been sidelined since Sunday, but the elbow has been an issue for some time. Per Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com, Wieters first suffered the injury last month in Boston. This season, the two-time All-Star is off to a tremendous start: .337/.372/.570 with five homers in 22 games.
