Report: Casey Anthony's parents sell slain granddaughter's toys at yard sale

MOUNT DORA, Fla. - Yard sales are typical in summer, but one Florida sale is making headlines.


Several media outlets, including the Orlando Sentinel, have reported that the grandparents of 2-year-old Caylee Anthony, who was slain in 2008, held a yard sale on June 28. Among the items sold at George and Cindy Anthony's home were toys and clothing that presumably belonged to the toddler whose body was found wrapped in trash bags near their home in December 2008. Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony, was tried for her daughter's murder, but was acquitted in 2011.


A person who visited the yard sale said she saw pink and purple heart-shaped lockets, teddy bears, combs and purses - among other items.


While the yard sale may have made Casey's parents a few bucks, Casey herself remains in debt. A friend has agreed to loan Casey $25,000 to settle $800,000 worth of debt she owes to lawyers and other creditors since her acquittal.
