Forget a new sports car, for Brad Pitt's 50th birthday Angelina Jolie apparently bought her longtime partner an island to help him get over the hump.

Jolie, 38, reportedly shelled out nearly $20 million for the getaway spot - British tabloid The Mirror reports. Pitt turns 50 on December 18.
The ocean retreat boasts two luxurious properties designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, who is apparently one of Pitt's favorite architects.

'As soon as Angelina heard the island was on the market she arranged a viewing,' a source told The Mirror. 'She was really impressed.'
The island's seclusion proves suitable for the notoriously private Jolie-Pitt brood.

'The house is perfect for romantic getaways or as a family retreat,' the insider said, adding that Jolie knows the picturesque heart shape will 'mean so much' to her man.
Built in 2008, the house on the heart-shaped hill reportedly includes several sky-lit rooms and panoramic views of the island, with rock and wood fixtures throughout the property for a natural look.
