Gas prices in Delaware dip again last week
First State drivers were treated to another drop in prices at the pump during the final week of October, leaving prices at their lowest this year.
AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the average cost of a gallon of regular fell six cents last week, from $3.29 to $3.23. Prices have declined in eight of the nine eight weeks, knocking 34 cents off the statewide average.
Delaware motorists are paying 29 cents less than they did a year ago when a gallon of regular cost stood at $3.52 and Delawaregasprices.com reported 15 stations across the state selling a gallon of regular for $3.15 or lower Sunday. The lowest reported price was $3.12 in Dover.
AAA officials say falling crude oil prices are helping support the steady decline in prices that they expect to see between go as low as $3.10 by Christmas.
The national average also dropped last week, falling six cents to match the Delaware average at $3.29 a gallon.
