The Saints head into Seattle in a pivotal contest on Monday Night Football at Century Link Field.
The New Orleans Saints head to the road to face the Seattle Seahawks in what is being deemed the game that determines the top seed in the NFC. New Orleans leads the NFC South with a 9-2 mark while the Seahawks lay claim to spot in the Conference at 10-1.
The Saints will look to continue their success through the air when they head to Seattle to take on one of the best defenses in the game in one of the toughest stadiums in the league. New Orleans has been very impressive this season and while they are automatic at home they have been strong on the road as well and they'll look to prove that once again as they head to the Pacific North West for Monday Night Football. Drew Brees continues to assert himself as one of the best quarterbacks in league history and with the arsenal around him it is no wonder he is putting up ridiculous numbers once again this season, or perhaps it is the other way around as Brees brings out the best in his weapons. Jimmy Graham is a freak of nature as he physically dominates his opponents and has stolen the title away from Rob Gronkowski as the game's best tight end and he will look to have another stellar outing against an undermanned Seattle secondary. However, it is the Saints' defense that has made them a 9-2 team this season as Rob Ryan has his unit believing in their system and they're much improved from last year's record setting group that needed a full overhaul.
Seattle heads into Monday night with a perfect 5-0 mark at Century Link Field but it will be a different dynamic this time around as the Seahawks are once again in hot water for violating the league's substance abuse program. Last year the Hawks lost corner Brandon Browner for four games and dodged a bullet by keeping Richard Sherman on the active roster as he avoided suspension but it is Browner once again who faces a yearlong suspension for the same infraction as well as fellow corner back Walter Thurmond who will be suspended for four games as well. This leaves the league's top defense in a tough spot as they lose two vital aspects of their secondary and will have to make adjustments in time to host one of the best offenses in the game. Century Link field and the 12th Man certainly play a role in the outcome of most games but against Brees who is a seasoned vet I anticipate he and the Saints' offense will have a silent count down to perfection and will be just fine. This is going to be a heck of a football game and even before the suspensions were implemented I loved this spot for the Saints despite their lackluster 3-2 mark on the road. New Orleans was a circus catch away from winning in New England and have played good teams very tough on the road I think in the big spotlight Brees and company do work and hand the Seahawks their first loss at home.
