Tina Fey To Produce New Comedy Series Starring Bridesmaids' Ellie Kemper

It seems like Tina Fey can do no wrong when it comes to television lately. Clearly not stopping to rest following the end of her show, 30 Rock, Tina has already created a new comedy series which will hit screens next year.
The comedian and her producing partner, Robert Carlock, will create a series about a woman who escapes a doomsday cult and tries to start a new life for herself in New York. The lead will be played by Ellie Kemper, who was in Bridesmaids and US version of The Office.
The pair will write, co-produce and co-run the show, which has already been commissioned for thirteen episodes on the NBC network. The half-hour episodes will begin in autumn 2014.
'Tina and Robert, who cemented their partnership on 30 Rock, have created a new signature comedy for us that is audacious, emotional, and clever,' said Bob Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment to Hollywood Reporter.
'While tapping into very relatable themes, there isn't anything like this anywhere else on television. NBC has been their home for many years and we're so happy that they've found another way to push the comedy envelope for us,' he added.
This year has been awesome for Tina. Following the end of 30 Rock in January, she was praised for her hosting of the Golden Globes with Amy Poehler and then she won an Emmy for co-writing the finale of the comedy show.
