Celebs Photo Leak: Apple says company's system not breached
Apple said that the company's system remains secure. The nude photos of celebrities were hacked in a pilfering attempt rather than a system breach. The individual accounts were broken and hacked into to steal the images. The attack didn't have a broader scope. It was not intended specifically to breach the company's system.
During the whole issue, many images of stars are removed from sites that didn't hold copyrights. Experts are of the view that there is no way at the moment to delete these images from the internet. The internet is a vast field and it is impossible to completely scrub these pictures. These will keep being posted and viewed in future. Apple said that the company's engineers worked on the problem and sorted out that the breach was designed on individual accounts and not at the company's system. They didn't attempt an access to iCloud or Find my iPhone. The results came out after an investigation that continued for 40 hours.
