Vikings' Teddy Bridgewater carted off with ankle injury
MINNEAPOLIS - Minnesota Vikings rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater left on a cart after suffering an apparent left ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
That forced the Vikings to play former first-round pick Christian Ponder, who was elevated into the No. 2 role this week with Bridgewater starting in place of injured Matt Cassel.
The Vikings led 35-28 when Bridgewater departed with about 7 minutes to go in regulation.
The Vikings announced Bridgewater went inside for X-rays. His return was announced as questionable.
