'Chicago Fire' actress Molly Glynn dies after tree falls on her while biking
Veteran actress Molly Glynn, whose credits include 'Chicago Fire' and 'Early Edition,' died Saturday, one day after a tragic accident where a tree fell on her head in suburban Chicago.
'I couldn't save her. I couldn't save her. She's gone,' her husband and fellow actor Joe Foust wrote on his Facebook page Saturday.
He encouraged others Sunday morning to 'love hard, people. Love hard.'
Glynn, 46, was riding a bicycle with Foust on the Forest Preserve Trail in Erickson Woods when the tree fell and struck her Friday afternoon, reports CBS Chicago. She was transported to Evanston Hospital in Chicago where she died from her injuries.
'Friends, this is the darkest day of my life. Things will never be the same. Molly got hit by a falling tree while we were biking. At hospital now. Prognosis is grim,' Foust wrote when the accident occurred.
Glynn, 46, had appeared in numerous television and stage roles - including the famous Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago.
'She was a loving mother and wife and everyone who met her fell in love with her,' Michael Halberstam, artistic director of Writers Theatre in Chicago, said in a statement, according to the station. 'She possessed a rare combination of talent, heart and beauty in all aspects of her life.'

A Give Forward campaign was established to raise money for the family. It reached its goal of $75,000 in less than a day.
'Performers give. They give from their heart and their soul; they give of their energy and wit and time and resources just to create a few moments of brilliance that they eagerly share with the world,' the page stated.
