IBM introduces its new business tool

IBM today introduced its new business tool named Watson Analytics, a natural language based cognitive service that can provide users an instance access to powerful predictive and visual analytical tools.

According to experts, only few of business analysts use analytics tools as part of their decisions. This tool is designed for those untrained people who want to streamline and simplify the data analysis process.

This cloud application does all of heavy lifting related to significant data processing by retrieving the data, cleaning it, building sophisticated visualizations, analyzing it and offering an environment for collaborating and communicating around the data. It uses artificial intelligence to analyse a large amount of data quickly, and it can also understand human-language, may ask several questions to give more accurate results to the clients.

IBM is employing multiple technologies from its vast data-management and analytics portfolio: InfoSphere Data Refinery services are used to the assessment of data sources and automatic suggestion of corrections Catalyst Engine technologies are deployed in IBM SPSS analytics which will automatically find correlations between data sets and relevant trends in them.

Project Neo technologies provide appropriate data visualisation to make sense of it. IBM Concert technologies support decision-making around visualisations and dashboards.

Eric Sall, VP of worldwide marketing for business analytics, at IBM, says that the main aim of this product is to put 'powerful analytics in the hands of every business user.' In addition to it, he says.' People understand they should be making better decisions to leverage data and analytics, but the reason they don't is it's too hard.' He also told that IBM is offering a free forever subscription at IBM Cloud Marketplace. He sees this may remove a barrier to access, and the free version is pretty sophisticated.

Previously in august, IBM launched Watson Discovery adviser, a tool that is used to identify patterns in the data.
