Tiger Woods: 'Phil has less holes to play than I do'
By Kyle Porter | Golf Writer
Tiger Woods was asked on Monday about Rory McIlroy's comments from last week at the Tour Championship when McIlroy said Woods and Phil Mickelson were on the final few holes of their careers.
Woods laughed off McIlroy's comments at a press conference announcing a new sponsor for his December tournament in Isleworth (formerly the Northwest Mutual World Challenge, now the Hero MotoCorp World Challenge) before dropping this jewel:
'Phil has less holes to play than I do. But it's reality. We're all older.'
Leave it to Tiger, of all people, to bring some levity to a really ridiculous controversy.
