ABC Orders Full Seasons of How to Get Away with Murder and Black
How to Get Away with Murder and have become the first freshman series of the 2014-2015 class to receive full season orders, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
Coming off of a strong third outing on Wednesday, Black-ish has been picked up for a full 22-episode season. How to Get Away with Murder, the latest hit drama from prolific executive producer Shonda Rhimes, has been picked up a 15-episode season. Like other TV star-driven vehicles such as The Following, Murder can only produce 15 episodes a season per star Viola Davis' contract.

So far this season, How to Get Away with Murder is the highest-rated new series, averaging a 3.6 rating in the coveted 18-49 adult demo and pulling in more than 14 million viewers in its opening night. Thanks to a record-breaking 6 million DVR replays, that brings the grand total to more than 20 million viewers who watched the first episode. In its second outing, the drama pulled 12.15 million and a 3.3 rating.
Following Modern Family, Black-ish premiered to 10.8 million and a 3.3 rating. On Wednesday, the comedy's third episode drew 8.2 million and a 2.8 rating.
