Akeem Ayers Being Traded To Patriots To Fill Linebacker Void

The New England Patriots reportedly are acquiring a former second-round draft pick to fill their void at linebacker.

The Patriots are trading for Tennessee Titans linebacker Akeem Ayers, pending a physical, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reported Tuesday.

Ayers, a fourth-year pro out of UCLA, has only played two games for the Titans this year. He was a starting outside linebacker for the Titans from 2011 to 2013, recording 232 tackles and nine sacks.
